Looking Ahead with Faith: Upcoming Church Gift Days

Since starting out on the journey of Kerith Windsor over 7 years go we have been trusting God to provide for our needs—and time and again, he has been faithful. Over these years, we’ve raised money to complete a number of improvements to our Windsor building, including:

·        Renovating the entrance to make it wider and more welcoming

·        Installing heating and flooring for the Kids Warehouse space

·        A new café spacenow open to the public and serving as a place of connection for our community

·        Reconfiguring the auditorium to allow more people to gather on Sundays

It’s been amazing to see what God has done through people’s generosity—and the lives that have been touched and transformed as a result.

However, we feel we’ve reached a point where it’s no longer wise to keep investing in a property we do not currently own. Instead, we believe it’s time to begin raising funds for future opportunities.

So we are going to do a series of Gift Days, where we’re inviting everyone in our community to prayerfully consider giving financially toward a vital and visionary future cause…..

Over the coming months and years, we hope to raise funds to set aside for future opportunities—whether that means purchasing our current building (should the opportunity arise) or acquiring a new property that better serves our growing needs and mission.

These Gift Days are not about reacting to an immediate need, but about preparing—with faith and wisdom—for what God may lead us into next.

This is about readiness. It’s about having the resources on hand to say “yes” when the right door opens. As a church, we want to be positioned not just to dream, but to act when God makes a way.

Joseph’s Preparation in Egypt

An example of this kind of forward-thinking faith is found in the story of Joseph in Genesis 41. After interpreting Pharaoh’s dream, Joseph didn’t wait for the famine to strike before planning. Instead, during the years of abundance, he led Egypt in storing up grain—so that when the seven years of famine came, they were not only sustained but able to bless others.

In the same way, we believe these Gift Days are a moment to “store up”—to prepare in a time of peace and possibility, so that when a need or opportunity arises, we’re ready to respond with generosity, courage, and faith.

How Can You Get Involved?

  1. Pray – Ask God what role he might have you play.

  2. Plan – These Gift Days are an opportunity to think ahead and give intentionally.

  3. Participate – Whether your gift is large or small, your generosity will help lay a foundation for the future of our church.

I recognise that this may be a financially difficult time for many. Please don’t feel any pressure to give—this is an invitation, not an obligation!

Trusting God for the Future

Just as Joseph trusted God’s leading and prepared wisely for the future, we too are believing that God will guide and provide. These Gift Days are an expression of our shared trust in God’s purpose for our church
