More Than Money: Creative Ways to Support the Kerith Farnborough Building Project
Unless you’ve joined us recently, you will no doubt be aware that we are raising money for Phase One of our Kerith Building Project. If you are new to us, you can read the story so far and hear more of our vision here.
So far we have raised over £217,000, mainly through our personal giving - a phenomenal amount for a congregation of our size! On 29th June & 6th July we have our next two Gift Sundays for our Building Fund and we’d ask you to be prayerfully considering what you can give. We will also be launching an exciting competition on these weekends - something everyone can get involved in, whatever your personal circumstances! We know that giving financially can be a real stretch for many people right now. We completely understand that – and want to say thank you for every bit of generosity, in whatever form it takes. The exciting thing is, there are so many other ways you can play a part in seeing our Building Project become a reality. Amy Horne, who is heading up the team who are busy applying for grants, has written below some creative ways we can help increase our total!
Everyday Giving Through Your Shopping
One simple switch could make a big difference: using our Kerith Farnborough Easy Fundraising Link whenever you shop online. You can even make it part of your weekly food shop. Retailers donate a percentage of your spend directly to the Building Project at no extra cost to you. Imagine the impact if we all made this small habit change!
Spread the Word
Have you got friends, family, or colleagues who might want to support something meaningful? Why not share the Kerith Farnborough JustGiving Page with them? Even better—post it on your social media and let people know why this matters to you. Whether it’s a birthday, Christmas, or even a wedding – asking for donations instead of gifts is a powerful way to multiply generosity. (In fact, someone in our community is already doing just that instead of a wedding gift list – how inspiring is that?)
