Kerith Worship

The Kerith Worship Team exists to love and lead others into the fullness of God’s presence, together in unity, lifting high the name of Jesus.

Worship at Kerith

Watch the video to find out what worship at Kerith is all about.

  • Hello, my name is Shari, I have the privilege of overseeing all things worship across all our sites here at Kerith. My role is to inspire and develop us as worshipping communities.

At Kerith, Worship is high value for our church, and sung worship is a big part of our Sunday gatherings.

When you visit any of our sites, those precious times of sung worship, are underpinned by our vision

…‘To love and lead others into the fullness of God’s presence, as we come together in unity, lifting high the name of Jesus. Our goal is to announce and declare the goodness of God’

    In addition,

Adoration – we’re gathered to focus on God, to lift our hearts and voices to him, to pour out praise for who He is and what He has done.

Encounter – we believe God is real and alive and wants to meet with us today, and so we are praying for and expectant of an encounter with the risen Christ, by the Holy Spirit

Transformation – we pray for and expect people to be transformed by the working of the Holy Spirit as we worship and meet with God.

What worship looks like across our sites

The beauty of Kerith, is that each site is so different, and our teams are a reflection of this. You may find if you go to one site, you’re led in a small acoustic set, and another you’re led by a full band!

Regardless of the team, still underpinned by our vision and values…it’s Christ-Centred, Spirit led times of worship!

    Revelation 7:9-11

9 After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb….10 And they cried out in a loud voice:

“Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”

11 All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying:

    “Amen! Praise and glory

and wisdom and thanks and honour and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!”

Worshipping together, all ages, races, genders…Everyone!

And that is our heart for our worship teams and our communities.

    Interested in joining the team:

We are interested in more than just musical ability when we add someone to our team. We are looking for people who have good character; they must be a part of our community, or willing to become a part of it; and must be competent at an instrument or singing.

Let me break that down into what we call the 3Cs..

Character: We’re looking at a life characterised by the genuine pursuit of Jesus and growing more and more like Him. We’ll spend time getting to know you by asking you to join us at our weekly worship gatherings.

Community: We would expect a commitment to making Kerith your home church; to part of a small group community in the church; expressing a heart for the local church and, not just attending when serving; but passionate and actively building team relationships

Competency: It’s important that you have the appropriate level of skill to serve. You’ll have the opportunity to play or sing with one of our team leaders before being asked to be involved at a public church gathering. Or simply join in a "jam session” with one of our teams at a rehearsal night.

    It’s a holistic process.

So that’s just a snapshot of who we are and what we do.

If you’d like to be a part of the team, find out more, please get in touch by filling in the contact form, or have a chat with the worship site lead at your home site.

    God Bless
