Gift Days

Over the next two Sundays (30th October & 6th November) we are going to be having our Gift Days.

We will be taking up two offerings for two separate funds:

The Cost Of Living Fund

We want to prevent anyone in our community having to choose between heating and food. To make sure that nobody is put in a position where they have to take out a payday loan or credit card in order to have heat or food to eat. The early church saw to it that no one in their community was in need (Acts 4:32-35). The cost of living fund has been set up so we can follow that example.

The brilliant Katherine Ambrose has been baking some amazing cupcakes to raise money for this fund. There will be some more this Sunday :)

The Building Fund

Thanks to those who have given to the previous Windsor building funds we have been able to do some initial renovation works. We have created a space for our kids and Youth and installed a heating system. We have put in a double door entrance and opened up the front of our building. This has created so much more of an open welcoming space.

Next we would love to put in a cafe/coffee shop. We feel this would be a great way to engage with the people who live in the local community throughout the week. Also, it could be a place which we can invite people to that we meet through our different outreach projects and courses. The people who visit the parent and toddler group, food-share. The people who’ll hopefully join the future CAP money Course, Alpha Course and various another things we hope to start. We'd love to get to know those people better; hear their story, tell our stories and have more opportunities to tell His story.

After the coffee shop the next thing we'd love to do is turn the auditorium around. We could then increase the number of seats, so we can fit more people into our meetings. Also, so we can have a bigger platform for our band :)

We will be tithing out of the money raised for the building fund to support the amazing child protection work 'Tehila' do.
