It’s coming home…?

A few weeks ago some of us gathered in the park for a picnic and we had a great time getting to know each other better. Our next picnic was scheduled for this Sunday, but as you may have heard, England have reached the World Cup final and are playing against Spain on Sunday at 11am. So we thought – instead of heading to the park, why not gather together to watch it?

We have a great morning lined up for all, with Ken Evans preaching in our adult meeting – we can’t wait to hear the message God has put on his heart to share. Our meeting is a 10am start, and will end at the usual time, so we will miss the first few minutes of the game - but we will keep the main thing the main thing. When the meeting has ended, we will put the match on the big screen for those interested in watching.

So please note – the picnic at the park has been cancelled – but we encourage you to picnic at our church building instead! Bring your lunch, invite your friends and let’s enjoy being together as church family as we cheer on the Lionesses (…you’re also of course very welcome to stay if you’re cheering for Spain!)

We know not everyone is interested in football, so we’ll also have some board games and a quiz available in some quieter spaces, where you can connect with others over your lunch.

Hope to see you there on Sunday – please share this with your friends at church to spread the word.
