Floorings and the upcoming Term

Hi Everyone,

I hope you’re having a good week and enjoying this belated summer sunshine. I wanted to give you an update on lots of things going on as we prepare to gather again in 6 weeks’ time. Lots has been going on in the building this last week. Tony Pounce, from our Bracknell Site, leveled the floor for us where it was uneven from the removal of the soft play so we have a safe surface to meet on!

Alongside the building plans, we are beginning to plan the Sundays for when we gather again in November and have lots of events in the pipeline, including our Christmas celebrations! I wanted to do a quick round-up of all that’s going on to give you a chance to get involved and put dates in the diary.

Small Groups

Our small groups are about to start for the term and we have lots of groups from our Farnborough Community, as well as mixed groups across the sites that you can join in with. Have a look at all the available groups and pick the one you like. Most groups start in the next few weeks so it’s the perfect time to join in. You can sign up on our Small Groups page here.

Thanksgivings

We love to celebrate children and families and Thanksgiving Sundays are a great chance to celebrate the blessing of a child and to pray for family life. Perhaps you’ve had a baby over the pandemic, or you’ve never publicly thanked God for your child. We will be hosting thanksgiving on Sunday 14th November and you can sign up here.

Baptisms

It is always so exciting when someone gets baptised - we celebrate together as a church family as they tell the world that they've committed their life to follow Jesus. ⁠⁠If you've recently decided to follow Jesus, or have been a Christian a while but you haven't been baptised yet, we have an opportunity for you to do so.

We’re planning on hosting a Baptism Sunday on 21st November, so if you'd like to be baptised or find out more, do have a conversation with me or you can sign up here.

Working Parties

Thank you to everyone who has signed up to help paint our walls. If you’ve not yet signed up for a working party, we would love it if you could. We are holding them on Sunday afternoons on 26th Sep, 3rd Oct, and 10th Oct. We have lots of painting that we’d like to get done before we meet on 7th November, so if you could bring a paintbrush, that would be great! You can sign up here.
