A Kerith Christmas
The weather is getting colder and we are approaching advent.
Before we know it, Christmas 2024 will be here!
The Christmas Experience
Our team has been busy in preparation for our Christmas Experience which is on Sunday 8th December. We very intentionally plan this event so we can make an easy invitation to our friends, family and colleagues to join us. They will get to hear a gospel message and the true meaning of Christmas, as well as enjoy a festive experience with a warm Kerith welcome (metaphorically only I’m afraid!) Tickets are booking up for this fast now – so make sure you don’t miss out by booking for you (and your guests) here. Don’t forget to grab a couple of the Christmas coasters from our Christmas table next time you’re at church, to gift to those you invite!
Carols round the firepit
In planning for Christmas at Kerith Farnborough, I felt strongly that after being so intentional about inviting to the Christmas Experience, we should also create space for those of us who already follow Jesus, to gather to simply worship Him after all the activity and ‘busyness’ that December brings to each of us. So on December 22nd December we will be gathering in our car park for Carols round the firepit. This is a chance to worship in community and ensure our attention is on Him. This gathering for all generations will be from 4pm – 5pm, and you’ll be pleased to know we aren’t asking you to serve! Please wrap up warm, come along and be in God’s presence as we sing carols and worship, with a short message (and enjoy a hot chocolate to keep us warm!)
I’m really looking forward to sharing in this season with you all. Do join us in praying that our guests on 8th December will not just enjoy the Christmas Experience, but that people will want to take a next step in wanting to know more about Jesus – and ultimately will want to know Him for themselves. In the foyer of our building in Invincible Road we are reminded of our mission statement written on the wall - Helping people find their way back to God through communities, growing in their love for God and their love for people. In all our interactions this Christmas let’s keep Jesus central , and keep our mission at the forefront of our minds.
