Bracknell Building Project

Join in as we continue our exciting journey to upgrade our infrastructure in The Kerith Centre

Upgrading Our Audio for the Future

Back in 2022, we began a journey together—one rooted in faith and a shared vision—to upgrade the Lighting and Audio systems in The Kerith Centre. We give thanks to God for His gracious provision and the generosity of this incredible church community, as we have now completed the lighting phase of the project at a cost of nearly £120,000.

We are now turning our attention to the next phase: upgrading our audio infrastructure, some of which has been in place for over 25 years. This includes our current PA system, which is now outdated and already showing signs of strain. We’ve experienced significant issues such as the failure of much of the balcony speaker system and the need to replace key power distributors.

Delaying further could mean facing complete audio failure—potentially leaving us without sound for our Sunday gatherings. That’s why this next step is so important. A new PA system would be purpose-built for our space, allowing everyone—no matter where they're seated in the auditorium—to clearly hear and fully engage in our times of worship and teaching. It would also allow us more control over how sound is distributed, both in the auditorium and throughout the building, improving the experience for every ministry and meeting held in our space.

The estimated cost for this next stage is just over £100,000, and we’d love to invite you to partner with us again as we move forward and steward this space for the present and future generations.

If you'd like to give, you can do so through the Bracknell Building Fund, linked below.

Together, let’s continue to create room where people can encounter God clearly, in a distraction-free environment—whether we’re seated in rows, circles, groups around tables or any setting where we’re enjoying community in God’s presence with His people.

Tearfund’s Trash to Cash Initiative

We also wanted you to know that not only does your generosity help us create brilliant spaces for us to meet in BUT 10% of all we raise we are giving away to our  Tearfund's 'Trash to Cash' initiative in northern Nigeria fighting the effects of climate change in this community.

In Plateau State, Nigeria, communities face the dual challenge of conflict displacement and a mounting waste crisis. But there's hope on the horizon. Tearfund, with support from Kerith, is spearheading efforts to address these issues through sustainable waste management initiatives. By converting waste into income opportunities and implementing environmentally friendly practices, they're making a tangible difference.

Kerith's commitment to this cause is significant. With £10,000 contributed last year across all our sites, and continuing support of £10,000 each year until September 2026, Tearfund can sustain its efforts. This ongoing funding ensures continuity and maximizes impact. Over the next three years, Tearfund's project aims to directly impact 1,800 people, fostering resilient communities where both land and livelihoods thrive. From tree planting and water sanitation improvements to climate-smart farming training, the project encompasses various facets of community development.

Through practical actions like establishing self-help groups and organizing litter picking sessions, Tearfund empowers communities to take ownership of their environment. And with outreach efforts via social media and radio, they're spreading awareness and inspiring others to get involved. With a clear plan and sustained support from Kerith, Tearfund's project is poised to make a lasting difference in Plateau State, Nigeria, from September 2023 to September 2026. Together, they're proving that small actions can lead to significant change.
