June updates at Kerith Bracknell

We have loads to fill you in on off the back of a FULL May on our site, here’s all the updates!

Not 1 but 3 Sunday meetings!

From prayer and prophecy at the start of 2023 to now one month into our brilliant new Sunday afternoon and evening expressions of church.

Our 4pm ALL IN Families meeting has a brand new team of gifted Kerither’s with a passion for families learning together- our first event included, crazy running games, ‘soaking in the spirit’ to a cello as we asked God to speak to us. Action songs to jump around, our super popular puppets and a teach time all about Jesus calling the children to be in his Presence.

If you have primary aged children then DON’T MISS this Sunday when we are gathering again at 4pm exploring God’s gift of hearing through the story of Eli and Samual ( and yes there will be lollies as it’s getting warmer!)

If you have primary or preschool aged kids come down and see for yourself what God is pouring into families at Kerith through this new expression of community.

6pm - Deeper community, sharing our faith together. We’ve now had 3 evening meetings in this new format, each so different in style but all pushing into what God has for us as a community. Pelumi and his new hosting team have led us in exploring new ways to worship, creativity in our prayer and worship together and space to share in groups.

This last Sunday we pressed into praying for the next great awakening as John Hulme led us in praying through the prophetic words over the UK from Wildfires. Every generation together having space to worship and pray!

If you haven’t been down to a Sunday 6pm yet- make sure you join us in 2 weeks time!

Sunday mornings - Diversity in action

Over the past weeks we have felt God reminding us again what a blessing it is to be a community that spans so many generations as well as so many continents! On Pentecost Sunday we heard The Lords prayer being spoken in languages from across the globe you can watch this powerful moment of intercession again on our facebook feed and then this week as we prayed for our year 6 children heading up to their new youth group our stage was filled! Wildfires feedback was filled with our youth sharing their powerful encounters with God. What a challenge they us to us to keep pressing in!

What a great reminder not to take this diversity for granted but to keep pressing in to friendships across age and ethnicity and also for those of us being prompted to get more involved in serving in our Youth and Kids teams- FOLLOW that prompting and contact our youth and kids leads via the website HERE. Lets be ready for God to send us MORE!

Get involved this month..

THIS Saturday 10th 9:30am- 12:30 Creation Care Gardening at the Kerith Centre.

THIS Saturday we need loads of hands to help us clear and plant the Revive garden ( our social justcie house attached to the K2 building) we want this to be a place of peace for our Revive clients as well as being able to grow veg to harvest for those the come! What a blessing!

We also want to use some extra muscle to support our brilliant volunteers who work on the building in the week. They need a kick start with relaying weed membrane and chippings under the hedges so our site looks tidy ready for the summer. So 2 jobs- and as much help as we can! So bring whatever gardening kit you have- or just bring yourself and arrive any time from 9:30am ( we’ll wrap up by 12:30)

We have a growing number of under 18s at kerith and at present we can’t always take them in to group on Sunday due to ratios and the extra care our additional needs kids require. SO in order to get our teams full and ready for September we are asking for people to join us- either in our Sunday kids work or Friday or Sunday Youth groups. Please get in touch via this page
